In 1970, scandal rocks a small village in the Adirondack Mountains. The wealthy summer community dissolves overnight and the town falls into a dark, downward spiral. Years later, a beautiful stranger with an untraceable past moves to town awakening people’s long buried guilt and fear. Only Ben Chapman, a lifelong bachelor, sees the newcomer as a lifeline out of despair and befriends her. With fatherly devotion, Ben tries to shield DevonWells from the town’s hostility, but she seems oblivious to it. Ben soon discovers that there is a strange split in Devon’s mind that causes her to shift from reality to fantasy.
